                       Maximum: $53,417 yearly, $2,054.49 biweekly, $25.69 hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:      High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
DRIVING:              Required - Valid Texas Driver’s License and a good driving record.

Job Summary:  
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Finance Manager, Finance Director.  Performs secretary skills of average difficulty.  Performs related work as required.

Essential Job Functions:
Greet the Public. Enters traffic tickets into computer as needed.  Assists customers with questions regarding tickets and payment of fines as needed.  Collects fines, fees, bonds, and miscellaneous cash receipts. Process letters from attorneys. Assists court administrator on court days with dockets and other duties as needed.

The Clerk shall have power to administer oaths and affidavits, and make certificates, affix the seal of the Court thereto, and otherwise perform any and all acts necessary in issuing process of such court and conducting the business thereof.

Assists in City office with counter and drive through window.  Answers telephone.  Balances and processes money received from Police Department.  Collects water payments, payment-in-advance, and miscellaneous payments when needed.  Run various errands for the city office.  Uses typewriter, calculator, computer, cash register, copier, fax and postage meter.  Strive to develop an increasing knowledge of City Ordinances, rules, regulations, and codes.  Must be able to write legibly.  Must be able to perform simple mathematical computations.  Subject to prolonged periods of sitting and standing.  Must be able to get up from desk and greet customers at the counter and drive-through quickly and frequently.  Must be able to deal effectively with customers.  Must be able to lift 35 pounds. 

Other Job Functions:
Picks up mail at post office, sorts and distributes accordingly.

Required Education, Degrees, Certificates, and/or Licenses:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.  Must be willing to continue education by attending job-related workshops and seminars.  Valid Texas Driver’s License.

Experience, Training, Knowledge, and Skills:
Must type 30-40 wpm and use the ten key by touch.  Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Must be able to speak and deal tactfully and effectively with the public. Must be able to communicate and understand written and oral instructions.  Must have good telephone etiquette.
