Are you a Level III Certified Court Clerk (CMCC) who has retired or no longer working in a court? Did you allow your continued education to lapse and no longer considered "active"? Do you want to continue using the CMCC title following your name? Effective January 2024, you may submit an application to the Education Committee requesting to use the title CMCC (ret.) following your name. The application process allows you to keep your CMCC title, yet indicates that you are no longer maintaining the education requirements to keep your active status. Any clerk who has achieved Level III, CMCC status, but has become inactive, will be allowed to reinstate their certification by completing 40 hours of education. Six of those hours must come from TMCEC's Legislative Update and all 40 hours of education must be from within the preceding three years from date of application. Only 8 of the 40 hours completed may be obtained "virtually" or via webinars. Once these requirements have been met, you may remove the (ret.) designation from your title. |
