Court Case Manager

Under the direction of the Assistant Court Administrator, the Case Manager plays a crucial role in administering court operations. Key responsibilities encompass docket management for both Criminal and Civil Courts, prioritizing case flow management and client advocacy. This includes facilitating Civil Accord meetings, managing timelines for ordinance violation cases, and conducting specialized assessments to connect defendants struggling with substance abuse and/or mental health challenges to appropriate community resources. This position is responsible for fostering strong collaboration with internal and external agencies, families, and stakeholders. Effective information gathering and timely recommendations to support the Judge, Prosecutor, and Administrative Hearing Officer to make informed decisions that prioritizes the defendant/respondent's best interests and ensures compliance with the City's Code of Ordinances is essential. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays. Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.
What We're Looking For
· Two-year associate's degree, diploma or equivalent from a college.
· Minimum of three years of Court or related operations experience, combined with two years of supervisory support experience.
· Candidates must have or be able to obtain Level 1 Court Clerk State Certification within one year of their hire date.
· Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.
