Request for Approved Education Hours not Provided by TMCEC or TCCA

The TCCA Education Committee acknowledges that clerks who are required to complete continued education hours to maintain their certification level may have opportunities to achieve those hours from qualified providers other than TMCEC or TCCA.

If you attended a course sponsored by a provider other than TMCEC or TCCA, and you would like to have those hours approved as continued education for the purposes of maintaining your certification, you will need to complete and submit a request for approval of hours.

The application process will require you to upload the following supporting documentation:

1)  a copy of the agenda or course description.

2) a copy of any course materials provided to you.

3) proof of successful completion of the course.

If you are attending college courses related to municipal court processing or specific to your role in municipal government, you may submit a request for approval of hours towards maintaining your certification for consideration.

Submit Request for Approval of Hours

After you Submit Your Application: You will receive a confirmation email of your application being sent.  Once the Education Committee reviews your application, you will receive an email notifying you of the committee's decision to approve or deny your request.  You should receive a response within 30 days.  If approved, you will need to forward a copy of the approval email along with your Certification Renewal Application to TMCEC as part of the annual renewal process.
